During her own dancing career she has appeared on the west end stage, national television, numerous variety shows and has had several principal parts in local theatre and pantomime productions.
At one stage of her career she was part of a professional fire-eating, sword-swallowing and sword walking cabaret act and even went on tour to northern Ireland to entertain the troops! Since hanging up her professional dancing shoes, she has concentrated her energies on teaching dance and developing the talents of pupils in her school.
Michelle has also had several pupils go on to further their performing knowledge by gaining qualifications to GCSE and BTEC National Diploma level.
After many years of teaching Michelle’s passion for dancing has never waned; she delights in the successes of all her pupils.
Welcome to my dancing school where the emphasis is to have fun, but at the same time reach and achieve new goal to the best of the individual’s ability.
The school has a friendly and welcoming environment, where teachers and pupils work together in harmony. The aim of the dancing school is to give pupils an all round training in all round training in all aspects of dance. There are classes available for ‘babes’ as young as 2 years, pre-school, junior and senior as well as adult dance.
The school is run on a school termly basis. Classes are held weekly, Ballet and tap classes are to to B.B.O Examination syllabus standard and the school is proud of a 100% pass rate.
Jazz and modern classes are also taught to an examination standard and give pupils a great opportunity to exercise and make up routines to the latest hits. Boogie Babes, Wiggle Waggle Jazz is a modern dance class for the youngest children of the school allowing them to really express themselves! Adult dance classes in Tap and Dancercise is a great way to try a new skill! A great alternative to exercise classes.
Every year the school stages a glittering show held at the Hazlitt Theatre, Maidstone, Kent. This is a complete showcase of song and dance. The show provides a perfect opportunity for pupils to show off their dance talents and experience ‘treading the boards’. We also annually, are invited to take part in a professionally stages show held in our of London’s West End theatres. We are also involved with invicta FM to promote any up and coming events.
